Bible Art
“The category's most creative tool - type a verse, generate original Scripture art.”
Bible Art is the most creatively ambitious app in this category. Instead of handing you a fixed library of wallpapers, it lets you type any verse, theme, or biblical figure and generates original illustrations on the spot - then invites you into a community gallery to browse what others have made.
The execution is impressively polished. A 4.8-star average across nearly 500 ratings reflects a smooth, modern interface and genuinely striking results, with the developer claiming artwork for every verse across all 66 books. It runs on iPhone, Mac, and Vision Pro, and you can create in a browser at bible.art before exporting a piece as a wallpaper or social share.
Two honest caveats. First, the imagery is AI-generated, which some believers will love and others will find theologically or aesthetically off-putting. Second, the economics - a Patron subscription up to $29.99/year or credit packs at $7.99 - make it pricier than a simple wallpaper app, and it's a create-and-share tool rather than a set-and-forget lock-screen widget. For anyone who wants to make Scripture art rather than just download it, nothing here comes closer.
Is it right for you?
Creatively minded believers who want to design and share their own Scripture artwork rather than pick from a fixed wallpaper library.
You object to AI-generated imagery, want a low-cost or free option, or need a plug-and-play lock-screen widget.
