The Chosen
“A genuinely cinematic take on the Gospels, and it costs you nothing.”
The Chosen is the rare piece of faith media that competes on production quality with mainstream television. Its multi-season retelling of the Gospels is character-driven, well-acted, and shot with a cinematic eye that has earned it a global following far beyond the usual Christian-film audience.
What makes it remarkable is that all of this is free. There are no subscriptions, no paywalls, and no ads; the whole series is funded by donations through the Come and See Foundation. You can stream every season, download episodes for offline viewing, and watch in dozens of dubbed and subtitled languages.
The catch is scope. This is one series, not a full streaming service, so once you have watched the available seasons you are waiting for the next. If you accept it for what it is, the best-produced Jesus drama ever made, given away for nothing, it is an easy recommendation and a natural first install for any faith-and-family viewer.
Is it right for you?
Anyone who wants beautifully produced, character-driven stories about the life of Jesus without paying a cent.
You want a broad catalog of movies and shows; The Chosen is one series, not a full library.
