WORLD News Group
“Home to one of Christian media's best daily podcasts, wrapped around sober, worldview-driven reporting.”
WORLD News Group has spent more than three decades reporting the news through a Christian lens, and its app pulls the whole operation together: the biweekly WORLD Magazine, a daily news feed, opinion and arts coverage, cartoons, and the group's well-known podcasts. The tone is measured and fact-forward rather than reactionary, which is a big part of the appeal.
Audio is where the app really shines. The World and Everything in It is one of the most polished daily news podcasts in Christian media, and the app lets you stream or download episodes with adjustable playback speed, plus World Radio News for shorter updates. Magazine issues download for offline reading, articles save cleanly, and push alerts keep you current without overwhelming you.
The download is free, and you can buy individual magazine issues for $4.99, but the full experience assumes a WORLD membership (roughly $69 and up per year for print plus digital). The interface, while functional, feels a step behind the cleanest news apps, and its 4.5-star rating reflects some sync and login friction users have reported. For listeners and readers who value careful, worldview-driven journalism, it is well worth the price.
