Our verdict
For a great many Catholics, iBreviary is simply how the Liturgy of the Hours gets prayed today. It carries the complete Divine Office across the Roman, Ambrosian, and 1960 forms, plus a full daily Missal, the rosary, the Way of the Cross, and other prayers and rites, all assembled by Don Paolo Padrini, an Italian priest who built it as a work of digital ministry.
The breadth is the draw. Where many prayer apps offer a curated slice, iBreviary aims to hand you the actual liturgical texts, in seven languages including Latin, with offline downloads so you can pray without a connection. For clergy, religious, and committed laity who want the real, complete office rather than a devotional adaptation, that completeness is exactly the point.
It is not, however, a polished app. Its 4.1-star rating reflects genuine complaints about a dated interface, clunky navigation, and occasional bugs, and offline access is capped at roughly fifteen days of downloaded texts.
