Every Moment Holy began as a beloved book of liturgies by Douglas Kaine McKelvey: unhurried, poetic prayers for the ordinary and often-overlooked moments of life, from changing a diaper to grieving a loss. The app, published by Brentwood Press in partnership with the Rabbit Room, brings more than 400 of those liturgies from Volumes 1 and 2 into your pocket, where you can read, highlight, and share them with others who may not own the books.

As a digital companion to the writing, it's lovely. The typography honors the source material, favorites are easy to save, and any liturgy can be shared by link so a family or small group can pray it together on the spot. Where it's thinner is depth of experience: this is primarily a text reader, and the audio and interactive features that define larger prayer platforms are limited. The modest App Store rating reflects some real friction, as a few readers bristle at paying a subscription for words they already own in print.

So the value question depends entirely on how you'll use it. If you love these liturgies and want them searchable and shareable everywhere you go, the app is a warm, well-made home for them. If you're looking for a full guided-prayer ecosystem with daily audio, music, and structured plans, Hallow or Lectio 365 will feel far richer.
