Daily Audio Bible
“One reading, one prayer, one global family, every day since 2005.”
Daily Audio Bible has done one thing faithfully since 2005: show up every single day. Founder Brian Hardin reads a portion of the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs, then adds a few minutes of warm commentary and prayer. Press play, and in about 20 to 40 minutes you've moved through the whole Bible on a one-year rhythm.
What sets it apart is the community wrapped around the reading. A prayer wall and a call-in prayer line turn a solo listening habit into something shared by a global family of listeners, and the app is available in a number of language editions. It's free, supported by donations, and refreshingly free of gimmicks.
The trade-offs are a single narrator's voice for the whole journey and an interface that feels more like a podcast player than a modern design showcase. There's little translation choice or ambient music. But if consistency and a sense of companionship matter more to you than production polish, few habits are as sticky, or as encouraging, as this one.
Is it right for you?
