Ryan installed 5 apps on iOS, used each one, and scored them against the same rubric.

“Some should be relabeled as meditation apps and not prayer. Like Hallow. I’d use the Lectio or the PrayerNotes.”
I am a web developer. I have built mockquestions.com, 15+ year old interview preparation website. I have also built memoryverses.com and have co-developed ministryplanner.church.
“Seemed good. No complaints other than the premium service is unclear on why I need or would want to go premium.”
“Nothing. Seemed like a great app for building a real relationship with God through a daily devotion and prayer.”
“If you have patience to learn the system, seems great. Otherwise notes on your phone seem to work better.”
“Doesn’t feel like I am actually communicating with God and building a relationship with God. Felt more like it’s something to do for one self only and not build a real relationship with God. If you want a real, authentic relationship with God, I would skip this app.”
“Terrible experience. Just a questionnaire that feels like you’re getting a custom experienced but then they smack you with a paywall.”

Submit your app on the Priority review and we compare it here, in front of readers choosing between the best prayer apps. A real person installs your app and actually uses it, then scores it against the same rubric as every other app on this page. One price covers that human review and your full column. Paying gets you included. It never buys a rank.
