Chrissie Ankerberg is a wife, mother of three, and member of Cityview Community Church in Illinois. She enjoys writing as one of the best ways to work the gospel into her own heart.
I believe that Homeschool Planet is better for people who want more functionality and specifics in their planning, as well as the ability to add lesson plans.

“This is great for people who want to have a place to track everything online. I’m assuming if you really invested the time upfront and enjoy working online it would be a great resource. Not great for people who like a bit more flexibility in scheduling. For example, I sometimes circle problems within a worksheet for my kids to complete rather than doing the whole worksheet. Not sure how you do things like that here.”
On the fence Design 6/10
+It’s nice that this allows you to upload lessons and syncs with bigger named curriculums you have purchased. Can track and plan a lot.
–I didn’t have a ton of access and couldn’t spend the time needed to really investigate all it’s capable of, but it also seems like it’s best for someone who really wants to do everything online versus, for example, print out schedules for kids to follow.

“This is a very good website for planning a school year and especially for someone who is building a transcript. This is great for someone who wants a digital record of all assignments and grades that could be shared, but might be a bit overwhelming if you're just looking for a way to create a simple schedule for your homeschool.”
✓ Would keep using Design 9/10
+Good for people who need detailed records.
–Not great for people who want simple planning help.

“This seems like a good place to track what you’re doing at home. Not necessarily a good site for finding lesson plans to include in your plan.”
On the fence Design 7/10
+This seemed the simplest to use. It was not overwhelming with all that it provided.
–This lacks some of the data & planning capabilities that other sites have.
