“None of them is worth paying for, and the one I’d skip is Lightgliders. For a friend, I’d say start with Greatest Journey, try The Serpent & The Seed if the player is older, and pass on the other two.”

I am a published writer, educator, and lifelong woman of faith. I begin each morning in scripture, journaling and meditating on what I can carry into my day. My writing credits include Wonderful Works, AbbaKids, Window Seat Audio Stories, Nature Friend Magazine, and Children's Ministry Magazine, alongside a long career teaching and coaching families in early childhood settings.
Greatest Journey is the one I’d recommend most. It has the best design, good audio and music, it’s free, and it takes kids ages 5 to 9 through 12 key Bible events from Creation to the resurrection. It falls down on the slow start, with a lot of storytelling before any gameplay begins.
The Serpent & The Seed covers the most Bible, moving through stories like Eden, Cain and Abel, Noah, and Abraham, and it’s free with no paid extras. It’s best for preteens, teens, and adults, but there’s a lot of reading with no audio support and little action, and steering the bird was difficult.
Airship Genesis: Pathway to Jesus is a free adventure puzzle with 40 puzzles across 8 missions, built around major events in the life of Jesus for kids 6 to 10. It falls down on navigation, which was very difficult, and it covers only Jesus’ life.
Lightgliders is a multiplayer online world where kids customize a character and get new weekly lessons, but it costs a monthly membership. It does the least with the Bible story itself, since the content is weekly themes and Scriptures rather than stories you play through.
