“It really is a great app, with something for everyone. As a "parent" I had to set up an account, which was a bit time consuming and tedious.”
It offers the most variety, with games, videos, stories, and sketches, and you can explore by topic, character, or Bible story. Scripture accompanies the stories, and it has the highest store rating at 4.8. It's free.
It is almost overwhelming because there's so much to it. The points system lets kids "buy" things, which some parents may not love, and it has fewer languages (20) than Bible App for Kids
If you are new to Christian kids apps: Superbook Kids Bible. Superbook is a great first look at what Christian kids' apps can offer, since it brings games, videos, stories, and sketches together in one place, with scripture alongside the stories. It's free and has the highest store rating of the group, so families can try it without any cost or risk and get a sense of what their kids enjoy most.
“It really is a great app, with something for everyone. As a "parent" I had to set up an account, which was a bit time consuming and tedious.”
Compared to God for Kids: Superbook has a lot more to offer. It has Bible story videos, profiles of Bible characters, and trivia games, both secular and faith based, where God for Kids is mostly a very brief video and a map you move through. It also covers 21 languages to God for Kids' 6, scored higher on design, and it's the one I'd keep using. Compared to Bible App for Kids, it has real games, where that app has a map and progress path but not really games.
Bible App for Kids beat it. It supports 50+ languages against 21, and was updated Oct 2, 2026, while I couldn't tell when Superbook was last updated. The app also has so much in it that it can feel like a lot, and as a parent I had to set up an account, which was time consuming and tedious.
Superbook Kids Bible is the one I'd pick for a church, small group, or family. It's free and well designed, and it has the most to do, with Bible story videos, character profiles, and trivia games, both secular and faith based. It falls down on setup and size.
“This is a great app for people looking for a video based Bible app for kids. There isn’t content beyond the Bible, but it’s a good option for the Bible.”
This is a great and free app for kids who are interested in watching interactive Bible stories.
This app does not have content beyond the Bible, so not a good choice if you’re looking for a variety of content.
If you are new to Christian kids video apps: Superbook Kids Bible. You can’t go wrong with it, it’s free! This has plenty of content to browse and there is no risk with it being free.
